Donation of Multi Media Centre
30th May 2013
Upon set of the “Temple Town Trust” the Maiden Project of the Trust was to donate LCD Projector, Computer, Speakers, Air Conditioners and other equipments to Town Higher Secondary School in renovating their Demonstration Room as Multi Media Room. On 30th May 2013, the Multi Media Room, at a cost of Rs.1,50,000/-, was inaugurated by Sri R Viswanathan, Mentor & Advisor of the Trust. This increased facility has helped many students to enrich their knowledge during their studies.


Distribution of Scholarship
19th October 2013
Scholarship distribution program to poor students was held on the 19th day of October 2013 at Town Higher Secondary School premises. Sri R Viswanathan, Mentor & Advisor of the Trust chaired the function. The Board of Trustees S/Sri M Rethina Kumar (MR), V Swamenathan, S R Ganesh & T Balakrishnan and other friends & well-wishers had also participated in the function. The selected students along with their parents have assembled in the Library.

During this year, the Trust has distributed Rs.65,000/- to 65 poor students of 11th & 12th standard. Some of the students to whom we have supported during the previous year have secured more than 80% and they are very happy for our continued support to them.

The Trust has honoured Ms N Satya, 12A4 student, who has scored 4 centum in all the main papers (Accounts, Commerce, Economics & Business Maths) and scored 1178/1200 during the public exam of 2013.

During the speech, the present Headmistress Mrs R Vijaya recalled that the Multi Media Centre set up by the Trust was immense help to the students, and all the students of the school from 6th to 12th are making use of these facilities in their studies.

Donors & Well-wishers Group Discussion Meet
1st June 2014 at Cosmopolitan Club, Golflinks, Chennai.
Mr T V Swamenathan, Managing Trustee, V Ananthakrishnan, T Balakrishnan, Trustees and 8 members participated in the group discussion meeting, and main points of discussion is shared as under:

The scholarship amount is in the range of Rs.1,000-1,500/- and the Trust is planning to support atleast 75-100 students. Donors may sponsor one or more students by donating Rs.1,500/- or multiple thereof so that they are proud of sponsoring the needy child in their studies. The required amount for this purpose need to be collected before 30th June 2014 and distribution of scholarship should be done before 15th July 2014.

To keep a buffer funds to help the needy students decided to mobilize a Corpus of Rs.10 Lakhs before 31st March 2015 for the Trust. The purpose of creating the Corpus is to keep a buffer funds to help the needy students. The Trust has already applied for 80G Exemption. As soon as we get this certificate, all the donors will be eligible for getting exemption for their contribution too.

To expand the functioning of the Trust and to have representation from Lawyers, CAs, Engineers, Doctors, Retired Teachers etc., the Trust shall form various Core Committees as and when required.

Apart from donation, members present there envisaged of improving soft skill of the students and providing motivational speech from the renowned personalities and to work on feasibilities of having training centre for professional courses like CA and other courses.

12th July 2014 at Town Higher Secondary School.
Scholarship distribution program to the needy students was held on Saturday, the 12th July 2014 at Town Higher Secondary School premises. Sri R Viswanathan, Mentor & Advisor of the Trust chaired the function. The Board of Trustees Sri M Jaganathan (MJN), M Rethina Kumar (MR), T V Swamenathan & S R Ganesh and other friends & well-wishers had also participated in the function.

During this year, the Trust has distributed Rs.98,000/- to 98 students of 11th & 12th standard. It is very encouraging to know that some of the students to whom the Trust has supported during the previous year have secured good marks and they are very happy for our continued support to them.

Sri R Viswanathan while inaugurating the function advised that this Trust should continue like a chain and he advised that the present beneficiaries should also become part and parcel of the Trust upon completion of their studies. Shri MJN and MR highlighted the functioning of the Trust for the benefit of the students.

During the speech, the present Headmistress Smt. R Vijaya informed that this Trust may be one of the pioneering trust formed for the welfare of the students by the Alumni and retired teachers/Head Masters.




Coaching Class for Common Proficiency Test

Temple Town Trust (TTT) Motto is to “Help the Needy Students” in their Education. In this direction TTT is planning to start Coaching Classes at KUMBAKONAM for the students preparing for Common Proficiency Test (CPT) Examination conducted by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) to be held during June 2015

The Classes are proposed to be commenced from 1st week of April 2015 during evening time for a period of 2 (TWO) months at:

SRI SARASWATHI PADASALA GIRLS HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL, DR. BESENT ROAD, KUMBAKONAM

All the four subjects will be taught by the Teachers and Professionals having vast experience in the respective field. Apart from classes regular tests will be conducted to improve the proficiency of the students.

Scholarship distribution Program – 2015
15th August 2015 at School Premises.
Temple Town Trust distributed Rs.1,00,000/- to 100 needy students of 11th & 12th standard of Town Higher Secondary School on Saturday, the 15th August 2015 at School premises. Sri R Viswanathan, Mentor & Advisor of the Trust chaired the function. The Board of Trustees Sri M Jaganathan (MJN), M Rethina Kumar (MR), T V Swamenathan, Balakrishnan & S R Ganesh and other friends & well-wishers had also participated in the function.

Scholarship Distribution – 2016
27th August 2016 at Ramanujam Hall of Town Higher Secondary School.
During this year, TTT had distributed Rs.81,000/- to 81 students of 11th & 12th standard. It is very encouraging to know that some of the students to whom we have supported during the previous year have secured good marks and they are very happy for our continued support to them.

Scholarship distribution program to the needy students was held on Saturday, the 27th August 2016 at Ramanujam Hall of Town Higher Secondary School premises. Sri R Viswanathan, Mentor & Advisor of the Trust chaired the function. The Board of Trustees S/Sri M Jaganathan (MJN), T V Swamenathan and T Balakrishnan and other friends & well-wishers had also participated in the function.

The students were provided with a book “Padipadu Sugame” and Special Pen which was carried the blessing of Sri Hayagriva temple. Mr Govindarajan, CA had motivated the commerce students to take up professional courses like CA,CMA and CS.

19th August 2017 at Ramanujam Hall of Town Higher Secondary School.
Scholarship distribution program to the needy students was held on Saturday, the 19th August 2017 at Ramanujam Hall of Town Higher Secondary School premises. Sri R Viswanathan, Mentor & Advisor of the Trust chaired the function. Sri T R Chandrasekaran, English Teacher, (Retd. AHM of THSS) was Guest of Honor.

The Board of Trustees S/Sri M Jaganathan (MJN), M Rethina Kumar and S R Ganesh, friends & well-wishers had also participated in the function.

Smt Vijaya, Head Mister of Town Higher Secondary School had given a welcome address. During her speech, she thanked our Trust in helping the needy students’ year on year. Sri R Viswanathan had mentioned that for continuing these charitable activities, an Endowment Fund be created and appealed to the members to move in this direction.

Sri T R Chandrasekaran in his address mentioned that scholarship is a way to motivate the students in their studies. Sri M Jaganathan and Sri M Rethina Kumar had briefed the audience about TTT and its activities including conducting coaching classes for CPT.




Scholarship distribution – 2018
28th July 2018 at Sri Saraswathi Padasala Girls Higher Secondary School.
Scholarship distribution program to the needy students was held on Saturday, the 28th July 2018 at Sri Saraswathi Padasala Girls Higher Secondary School premises. From inception, TTT was distributing scholarship to the students of Town Higher Secondary School (THSS). During this year, a small beginning was done by TTT to include one more school viz. Saraswathi Padasala under the scholarship program.

The Board of Trustee Sri M Jaganathan (MJN) has given the welcome speech. Sri T R Chandrasekaran (Retd. AHM of THSS & Committee member of Saraswathi Padasala) had appreciated the efforts of TTT in conducting the scholarship program continuously and this year for including the students of Sarawathi Padasala also. HM & AHM of Saraswathi Padasala thanked TTT for including their students in the scholarship Program and encouraged the students to study well.

During this year, we have distributed Rs.1,50,000/- to 150 students of 11th & 12th standard of THSS & Saraswathi Padasala, and the students were provided with a book “Padipadu Sugame” and Special Pen which was carried the blessing of Sri Hayagriva temple.
