Temple Town Trust was registered on the 22nd day of April 2013 with a Motto to “help the needy students” in their education. Its object is primarily, to grant scholarships, donations, and financial assistance, for the benefit of students in their educational pursuit.
Way back during December 2010 Commerce Alumni Meet of Town Higher Secondary School (THSS), an idea was mooted by Mentor & Advisor of the Trust Sri R Viswanathan (RV), Former Head Master to help the poor students.

The Inauguration of Coaching Classes for CPT exam was held on Sunday, the 16th August 2015 at 9.00 AM at Sri Saraswati Padasala Girls Higher Secondary School premises. CA Rajendran, Senior Auditor had presided over the function. Sri M Jagannathan, Trustee had explained the activities of the Trust and gave welcome address. Sri R Viswanathan, Mentor & Advisor of the Trust had appreciated the effort being put in by all in continuing the classes for the welfare of the students of Kumbakonam and also advised the students to study well for the examination.
Chief Guest Sri Rajendran in his speech told that Students of Kumbakonam shall be immensely benefitted by these coaching classes. He recalled the effort made by him and other Chartered Accountants in creating awareness about CA in and around Kumbakonam during his younger days. He wished the coaching classes conducted by the Trust be a great success. Mr M Rethina Kumar, Trustee also spoke at length about the CA course and work of TTT. CA Govindarajan mesmerized the students with his talk and impressed upon the students to do hard work for their success. Mr Sukumaran, Leading Advocate in his talk had advised the students to study well and he told the students that all the three professions viz. CA, CS & CMA is better than any other professions and even bureaucrats.
